What is Discipleship?
What is it?
Discipleship is the lifelong journey of following Jesus and becoming more like Him, not just gaining knowledge about Him but being transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit into someone who reflects His character (1 John 2:6; Galatians 2:20). Jesus' final command to His followers was clear: "Go and make disciples of all nations... teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you" (Matthew 28:18–20). It's a calling for every believer, not just a select few, to grow in Christ and help others do the same, so the church is built up and equipped for ministry (Ephesians 4:11–16).
This is what we do.
At The Grove, we equip every believer to grow as a disciple and help others do the same, primarily through a 40-week Disciple Making Group (DMG). We also equip parents to disciple their children, so the Gospel is carried further with each generation, and we cultivate biblical community through Grove Groups, where disciples grow together rather than in isolation (Acts 2:42–47; 2 Timothy 2:2).
How we go about it.
Our approach is simple and intentional: reproducible, so anyone can do it and pass it on; multiplying, so it grows exponentially from person to person; and decentralized, so it spreads naturally through ordinary believers rather than depending on one leader or location. This is how disciples make disciples, one relationship at a time.
What is a DMG?
Disciple Making Group (DMG) is a small group of 3–4 people who meet weekly, with one person leading and discipling the others. Together, you'll walk through Evergreen, our 40-week study designed to help you grow as a disciple of Jesus. It's simple and reproducible, easy enough for anyone to do and pass on to someone else, so disciples keep making disciples.

BLESS30 is a simple, practical way to love the people God has already placed in your life, right where you live, work, and play. Each month, you identify people who don't yet know Jesus and pray for one person each day, one for every day of the month, that's the "30." BLESS is more than prayer alone, it's a rhythm: Begin with prayer, Listen well, Engage intentionally, Serve them where you see a need, and Share the Gospel as the Holy Spirit opens the door. Evergreen is the 40-week study your DMG walks through together. It unfolds in three parts: first, Gospel & Rhythms, where you build habits of studying Scripture and prayer while grasping the life-changing power of the Gospel; then, Knowing God & Your Identity in Christ, where you go deeper into who God is and what it means to belong to Him; and finally, Walking with God and Others, where you grow in trust and obedience, aligning your heart with His will through daily prayer, worship, and Scripture.

Baptism is a public declaration of your faith in Christ, a symbol of death to your old life and new life in Him. We love celebrating this step at The Grove! If you've accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we invite you to be baptized during a gathering on the weekend.
